This year is my organization’s 50th anniversary so we are planning a variety of ways to engage the community in “celebrating our age” as a way to celebrate our work over the years. It is also my 10th year at the organization – wow it has flown by! My biggest project right now is building a new “campus” for the organization. It has been such a learning experience. We are trying to incorporate the needs of the organization (we have grown from 900 participants to over 5,000 since I have been here) but also some social innovation that will help us improve our revenue streams and help us to diversify our funding. Based on our model, we could be self-sustainable in ten years! Now i just have to get investors/donors to agree with us and get on board. Easy, right?

Wow Andrea! What a banner year for you! Congrats! If you haven’t already, you should chat with Sue Buchholtz and David Parker for starters — I’ll bet they would have some ideas on social innovation/enterprise for your organization. Thank you for such outstanding leadership!
Busy here too Grace-Anne! I am speaker at the Global LEAP Summit for coaches, which includes speakers like Marshall Goldsmith and Jack Canfield! Also, just submitted my chapter of the LEAP Book, which I am co-authoring with those two and about 20 other coaches! It will not be out for about a year. It will coincide with a documentary film being produced about the power of coaching (I am not in the movie!).
Otherwise, working with a number of United Ways and other other organizations across the country on strategic planning, and lining up additional executive coaching engagements. Working on a community Mastermind Coaching Program as well. Details later! Fun times! Can’t wait to get re-fueled at BRI again, but I LOVE the start of a new year!
I love this idea Patrick! At Arts In Action we are busy, busy, busy with loads of grant writing and communications work! Last week we won a $137k grant for fellow BRI leader Joe Cuenco and his org Mt. Zion Human Services. We’ll announce the details soon, once contracts are signed.
I am thrilled to be part of some BRI committee work with Andrea Smith, Heather Adams, Eileen Coogan and Venita Garvin, so the by product is that I get to stay connected with many blue Rodgers on a weekly basis!
